About Our Graduate Program
raduate study of the Middle Ages at the University of Chicago is normally interdisciplinary, with students based in particular disciplinary departments, as History, Art History, Classical Studies, English, Romance Languages and Literatures, Slavic Languages and Literatures, the Divinity School, Music, NELC, Philosophy, etc., but taking courses in several departments. Of central importance to the community is the Medieval Studies Workshop (http://cas.uchicago.edu/workshops/medieval/), at which students and faculty gather to present and discuss their own work and listen to papers by visiting scholars.
